Thanks! Lovers of jazz and piano music are fortunate to still have Fred with us.
BTW can you discern a substantive difference with Chesky High Resolution?

They are excellent recordings.

Vicodin? I have about a hundred of those pills. My doctor keeps throwing them at me and I keep only taking them at bed time. If I were a less ethical character, I guess I could sell them and make a buck. But, no. Everytime I have a thought like that my old man pops into my head and bellows; "Are you paralyzed from the neck up?"

He still keeps me in line, even from the grave.

Henryk Gorecki, Symphony No. 3

Noneshuch/Elektra CD

Not the most "uplifting" music in the world, but beautiful in a dark sort of way.

So last night, I needed some music to blow off steam. Got home around 11:30 and my wife had gone to work. You'd be surprised at how much energy my little Sansui 5000x can put behind Led Zepplin II. 10:00 on the volume was just low enough to keep the neighbors from calling.

Regards,

D-Ray

You've seen the beasts I've built, right? Dude, last night I broke out my trusty old RadioShack analog decibel meter. From the listening chair, (~15"), just over 100db (A weighted.) with 2 watts indicating on the MA6900s meters!

Right now, I'm spinning Dire Straights "Love over Gold"........

My 1000x could crank out some serious sound.....before it went claws up for the third time. Now it just sits on a shelf.
