Newspaper: Sorry we endorsed Obama

This is priceless:

Sometimes, you have to admit you're wrong.

And, we were wrong.

We said that things couldn't get much worse after the sub par presidency of George W. Bush.

But, President Barack Obama's administration has us yearning for the good ol' days when we were at least winning battles in Iraq.

They go on to list some of the Obama gang's screw ups, then conclude with:

These are all signs — none of them definitive on their own, necessarily. However, when taken in completely, these demonstrate a disturbing trend of incompetence and failure. It's not just that Americans are in a sour mood about national politics. That's probably part of it. Instead, Obama has become another in a line of presidents long on rhetoric and hopelessly short on action.

Obama's hope and change have left liberals and conservatives alike hoping for real change, not just more lofty rhetoric.

So he's worse than Bush and Nixon? Man, you gotta work pretty hard to sink that low I suspect.

Well, that's about right. It's always about a third of the voters who think the current president is the worst in history. Another third think he's the greatest, and the middle third are too busy watching the NBA finals to spend any time on it. Of course when George was finishing up it was closer to 50%...particularly after he turned on his loyal base and pushed through the TARP.

I'm no Obama fanboy, but these polls have no real meaning at this point. Presidents always somehow look better retrospectively. Even Dubya has somehow succeeded in rehabilitating his image. That said, somehow the Congressional GOP has succeeded in projecting its own incompetence upon everybody else in government, including Obama. It has been an objective of theirs all along and I suppose they've succeeded.
