I can relate to that.

What blows my mind in the current 'pardon our warcrimes' dustup is Chief Petty Officer Gallagher going on Fox and calling Rear Admiral Green 'insubordinate.' A stunt like that would be career-ending for the enlisted person in normal times. Clearly Gallagher feels himself to be untouchable now, for some reason.

So the chain-of-command has been altered, and now runs direct from the President to the Seals. Anyone else see some possible discipline problems with our new Praetorian Guard?

Well, if the rogue CiC isn't accountable, who is?

This is definitely not good...giving official stamp of approval to war crimes.

None of it is good. Trump blowing off the entire chain of command, overriding their ability to maintain order and discipline? All any nutcase criminal has to do is go directly to the "president" and he orders the military brass to back down? That's not just wrong, it's insane. "I'm telling Dad! You're picking on me just because I tortured some prisoners to death!"...………...

Discounting accountability while soliciting political approval from the troops.
What next, a personal loyalty oath? He wishes.
