Tough can be good but it can also be bad depending on how much you grasp of a particular issue.

Secretary Clinton.

That would be my thought.
She has worked a lifetime to be prepared rather than just campaigned a lifetime.
The contrast between her and a Palin is stunning.

Clinton in '12?
She is great at turning massive profits on pork bellies, maybe she can work her magic on Wall Street
I'm surprised that Ohios very own Voinovich never went national, he cleaned up Cleveland after the Boy Wonder crashed it, did very well running Ohio, a budget hawk, remarkably scandal free and a Cleveland Rep, meaning he's so liberal the WSJ trashed him.

Mitch Daniels, the Republican Governor of Indiana, has been portrayed as a reasonable, pragmatic and effective guy. Trouble is that anyone who really has their head screwed on straight wouldn't want the job to begin with.

Anyone with their head screwed on straight will never make it with the Republican base.

Hillary would be president now but all the republicans voted Obama in the
primaries thinking he had no chance against whomever was nominated on
their side. Not so sure things would be any different now anyway. She had
lots of old scores to settle and things might be more hostile if anything.

Hmmmm. . . . Food for thought.
She will be a loyal soldier and not make another run at it until 2016. She is too entrenched in the power structure to make a run at her party's incumbent.

In 2016, Hillary would be what, 77-78 yrs old? I do appreciate the effort but you would think that she would be saying screw this and retire by then.
Most of these folks are of a different breed I guess. All most like aging rock stars that can't bring themselves to hang it up. It certainly couldn't be for the lack of cash.
I have been giving it some thought and I can't come up with anyone I feel strongly about. How about Colin Powell?
