A Separation. An excellent film.
Despite the demands and influence of religion, individuals still exhibit strong
personalities.
In the face of urban crush an Iranian son commits to his aged father and his
daughter expects the truth.
Urban drama with deep insights in what melds and cleaves Modern Iran.

We just watched it this evening. It's a great film. Benedict Cumberbatch was spectacular as Alan Turing. And it's another infuriating reminder of why religion is so despicable.

Rob the Mob: Michael Pitt
In the early nineties Thomas Uva and his wife robbed several Mafia social clubs.
Rob the Mob is a fictional version of the events told with humor.
Entertaining.

Good Night, and Good Luck. is a 2005 drama film directed by George Clooney and starring David Strathairn, Clooney, Robert Downey, Jr., Patricia Clarkson and Jeff Daniels. The movie was written by Clooney and Grant Heslov (both of whom also have acting roles in the film) and portrays the conflict between veteran radio and television journalist Edward R. Murrow and U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy of Wisconsin, especially relating to the anti-Communist Senator's actions with the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. WiKi

Saw it when it came out. Very good.
Strathairn is a really good actor who has worked a lot with John Sayles.
He's terrific in Matewan.

Good movie. Been to that area? One of the toughest places in all of Appalachia. I spend a week there looking at a bunch of flood control projects. Scary.

I remember Winter's Bone being a rough regional tale.
