Yup! But I have no evidence suggesting Pasternak was thoroughly evil.

Alisa Rosenbaum had an axe to grind re her bourgeois family being disenfranchised by the Bolsheviks, so she despises peasants as "takers".

Yes, definitely but it goes much farther than that. AR maintained that compassion and altruism were actually evil and that supreme goodness exists only in complete disregard for anyone and anything other than complete selfishness.
