Bob needs to understand the spirit of that rule as described by Don. If you need to scroll the page to view the image, it's too big. If you don't, it isn't.

That is, if posted photos are so large that they make others reading a thread scroll from side to side to read the thread, the photos are too large. It is the responsibility of each poster to resize photos to a manageable size. 800x600 pixels works pretty well. The following photo is reduced to 800 x600.
