When I was a teen in Venice IL we used to get Everclear occasionally, give the town drunk enough for a bottle of ripple and he's get you anything you wanted. If you've had good moonshine it won't be a problem.
I'd love to see the look on the newcomers' faces the first time they tried it.

I had some Doppelbock last night, with 7.5% alcohol. "Der Ulmer Winterbock" tastes absolutely great and it's amber colour is so beautiful!

I'm a stout guy. Plus I tend to like dark beers
This one has been a standout:

Lol I think that's what you said years ago!
'Me Gran' lived in Hartlepool not too far from Newcastle. Last I saw her I stopped at a little shop to get beer and they had it of course. The shopkeeper was surprised I knew it and didn't know it was sold across the US.

Hat's off to the resurrection, brother Pete. Think I'll have a Modelo dark with lunch today, I finished off a sixer of Spaten Oktoberfest from BevMo the other day. Good stuff.

Hear hear!
Modelo... dark? My warehouse manager, a black guy, told me about it when it came out, said I had to try it.
I finally found some and told him. He said, 'It's always better with some Negras around'. Cracks me up to this day!
If I get a chance I'll have to try Spaten Oktoberfest

For an IPA, Deschutes Fresh Squeezed is my favorite. For a porter, gimme Edmund Fitzgerald Porter from Great Lakes Brewing. And I dig Paulaner Hefeweizen in the summertime.
