Don't they have wireless in the hospital for when you are up to talking?

Hope everything works out for you, grumpy,
I used to own a '69 chevelle malibu, white with a blue landau roof, bought it in 1980 for $250 without a motor. Went to the wrecking yard and found an old 4 bolt main 350 block from a truck and had it punched out .30 over. Ended up spending about $3000 on the engine and about $1500 on the transmission. With 11.5:1 compression she was a gas hog, you could literally watch the gas gauge move goin down the hiway over 70 mph.
During the course of gutting the interior I removed the carpet, tar paper and insulation from the floors and in the drivers side rear floor I found a manila envelope with the assembly line sheet in it detailing what was wrong with the car when it came off the line (drip rail on driver side window leaked and the downshift cable was sticky) Also came with the sheet that gives all the GM part numbers and codes for the accesories and standard parts and the bill of lading due to the fact it was a special order car being sent to a dealer in Dallas Texas. It actually had the exact moment of the cars "birth date" punched in the sheet with the time clock of the Fremont California plant where it was built, and incidentaly, I went on a field trip while in the cub scouts to the Fremont plant the summer of that year. Who knows, I might have even seen that very car passing by on the line!
Also, on the floor on the passenger side was a small envelope with an extra set of keys in it. Tell all your friends at your chevelle forum to keep a sharp eye out for that stuff while gutting interiors. Its kinda neat to have, especially for determining OEM parts, as it was for me while trying to determine the tail gear ratio (turned out to be a 2:.56 tail gear, some real hi steppin gears!)
