Thanks for the link.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms. It was adopted on December 15, 1791, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights.

In 2008 and 2010, the Supreme Court issued two Second Amendment decisions. In District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to possess a firearm, unconnected to service in a militia[1][2] and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home. In dicta, the Court listed many longstanding prohibitions and restrictions on firearms possession as being consistent with the Second Amendment.[3] In McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 3025 (2010), the Court ruled that the Second Amendment limits state and local governments to the same extent that it limits the federal government.

Also, this makes perfect sense.

Getting back to where this thread started, has anyone learned anything new as to why this guy felt a need to plan and carry out an act of this nature?

The twisted thought process that brought him to do what he did may never come to light. I think if it ever does it would be a pretty gruesome revelation.

Apparently he sent his shrink a notebook detailing the plan. Maybe there'll be some clues.

Yeah, heard that this morning. Apparently it's been turned over to the law enforcement.

Definitely on the offensive, and being offensive.

Yesterday I heard that he mailed a notebook to his school with some details of his plan. Not much information has been released as yet.

They knew what it said. Anyone who takes the time to study the era knows what it said. So if we are to have this sit down discussion over gun rights and other stuff can't we start with what they said?

I thought Dave did a darn good job of 'splainin what they wrote

Rob, an AR-15 is a little different than a air pistol

That said, for target shooting, I prefer a 22 rifle.

I realize that it is different, the best they will kill is something the size of a squirrel

Hillbilly, the Akron area, which I'm pretty close too, has 1/4 of the meth busts in the state! Agreed, that stuff is so bad. But kids will be stupid I suppose

You would not want a "nanny" govvernment telling them what to do, now would you?
