Sounds exactly like the arguments against interracial marriage, laws forbidding which were still in place in Southern states in the 1960s. Just saw the movie Loving. You might want to see it, you might learn something about what it is to be human.

I suspect this Irish referendum was at least partly due to the Church's loss of authority over the betrayal of the trust of Irish Catholics by the Church's paedophile authority figures and their protectors.
