Strange thing about amplification. You can't amplify that which isn't there. Strange thing about some tRumpers. A little fear mongering, hatred spreading and racism doesn't bother them. Another strange thing about some tRumpers. A tendency to deflect blame.

Of course there was/is great fear largely emanating from white folks who saw their good paying jobs disappeared and who thought they had special rights in the economic matrix.
Many of them hammered Bill Clinton for their situation and were late to the realization that the cause was bipartisan.
Trump played on that realization and got rid of some of the old guards in GOP; e.g the Bushes. He also intimidated and realigned the party.

Now the issues on which he pulled the alarm switch are still present. There might be Trumpism without Trump.

I saw in print someone calling Rep Ron Johnson as a Russian asset. Makes me wonder how many other Russian assets are masquerading as U.S. representatives in Congress?

The term "Russian asset" is often used to stifle debate/criticism.

Ask any question, about troop reduction, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, MIC, etc, and the label is applied.

So many representatives remain silent.

Have you not read the original post and the article linked therin? The term Russian asset is not being used used to stifle debate or criticism. It's use here is descriptive of ones actions.
