A shotgun or pistol will protect one from a burglar. A 556 semi auto not needed.
Also be of little help from a determined government armed with drone at altitude equipped with 5Klbs guided weapons.

Stormy Daniels' attorney asked a federal judge this morning for permission to depose President Donald J. Trump about his knowledge of an agreement to pay the porn star $130,000 a week and a half before the 2016 election.

Probably, but I believe the bigger issue is that if Trump speaks out, he thereby voids the NDA.
