There are two types of SCOTUS justices, progressive activists and conservative activists. Suggesting that what you want are strict constructionists or originialists on the court is a steaming bucket of effluent. Insisting otherwise shows you up as either a liar or a fool.

LeyPerro, how does the constitution support the notion that corporations are people thus extending the 1A rights to corporations under Citizens United. I know I am over simplifying it but one should get my point.

Name dropping and misdirected insults are not good tools for an intelligent or even a semi-intelligent discussion. You do have a penchant of bringing up the least respected people in your arguments; or are people Ben Carson and Clarence Thomas just to camouflage your true feelings on racism?

The "New Black Panther Party" has maybe a few dozen members. Two of them were standing in front of one polling station in a black neighborhood in Philadelphia. After Fox News tried to make it into a "thing", the "New Panthers" were asked to leave. One of them was a certified election monitor so he stayed. The other one left. Not one of the voters interviewed.... again, this was a precinct in a black neighborhood.... said that they felt in any way intimidated.

And it's Elena Sotomayor.

But it's "furrin" so who cares.

Rajoo...I'm not acquainted with Citizens United....if Walmart is described or interpreted as an "entity" it's impossible. Walmart "consists" of people; Chariman of the Board of Directors, the Board, stockholders, managerial personnel, workers, etc....

I don't know why Corporations (people who compose them) would NEED to defend their 1A rights? Who is assaulting them?

Corporations don't pay taxes....we do. Go up on Walmart's taxes and they are going up in price of products....

I might read up on Citizen's United, but, I wouldn't classify corps. as people....There may very well be a street in NYC named "Wall Street" but when Wall Street is referred to, I get it.
