Pelosi, Schumer say they haven't heard from Pence on invoking 25th Amendment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said on Thursday evening that Vice President Pence has not yet returned their call after they reached out to discuss invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.

“This morning, we placed a call to Vice President Pence to urge him to invoke the 25th Amendment which would allow the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to remove the President for his incitement of insurrection and the danger he still poses. We have not yet heard back from the Vice President," the two congressional Democratic leaders said in a joint statement.

“The President’s dangerous and seditious acts necessitate his immediate removal from office. We look forward to hearing from the Vice President as soon as possible and to receiving a positive answer as to whether he and the Cabinet will honor their oath to the Constitution and the American people," they added.

Yeah, doubtful that the coward Pence will be invoking the 25th.

Yeah, doubtful that the coward Pence will be invoking the 25th.

The Hill says Pence won't do it. Pelosi has said that in that case, they will impeach. Need 16 Republicans to make it stick. It should happen, but who knows if it will. 16 Republicans of courage and integrity seems like a tall order.

Pence would need to be honorable to invoke the 25th Amendment. So, not gonna happen.
