Right wing nut cases

So now we have two men of the cloth* leading thier congregations in prayer for the President's death. No doubt in hope that some other nutter with a gun will try.

*The only cloth these two should be wearing are long white robes with hoods.

How can anyone profess to be a Christian and pray for the death of another human being?

I may not agree with the President on a growing number of issues, but I sure wouldn't wish him ill health, never mind dead.

WTF is wrong with people these days??

A man (I won't call him reverend) named Alexander in Tempe Arizona was the first on followed by another one in California. It was in Eugene Robinson's column in today's WashPost.

Downtown DC is a good place to avoid today as the rest of the lot are gathering.

Well, to be sure, I hope no one does anything crazy because of these nut jobs. I heard about the guy in Tempe a couple of weeks ago. My hope is that these continued cases of extreme behavior cause people to continue to move slightly left. I really think that the actions of Bush and Cheney did that for many people and resulted in the Democratic victories. As usual, the Democrats, unable to miraculously fix every situation America faces in six months time, have lost some support. Perhaps these two along with that Wilson character will keep things moving left.

Take care,

Ed

Amen, Tom. Not only that, but I think making a direct threat like that against the life of a President will get you a visit from the Secret Service...An' THOSE boys are famous for their lack of a sense of humor...

They're all a bunch of far right wing nutters?

I must disagree. Besides, what you are witnessing is hardly "the rest of the lot". I would be surprised if it's over 1%.

Concerning the origional thread, I suppose I never was "religious" enough to advocate murdering people with whom I simply disagreed.

Chas
