Since the presidential election, there has been a remarkable exodus from the Democratic Party. More than 14 million people have left and become independents. That represents a loss of nearly 20 percent of the party’s following from early November. The number of Democrats has fallen to a historic low. So low that Republicans now outnumber Democrats in a progressive country.

Despite Bernie Sanders’ monumental endeavor to bring people into the Democratic Party, people are leaving it by the millions. The collective efforts to reform the party cannot stem the tide of people who are going independent, let alone expand the Democratic base.

At a time when Americans are leaving the establishment parties in record numbers, progressives shouldn’t be swimming against the populist current in a fruitless attempt to save the corporate party that created this mess.

Bernie cannot do it by himself, politicians are corrupted all the way down to the local level. Round them all up and get rid of them and install actual non partisan citizens to govern and there might be a chance of a peoples party actually working and representing the people.

Better to breakaway now than to follow these idiots that actually thought that H--> was a slam dunk. Just the fact that they had to rig the primaries and scare away any competition should tell you that she was probably on shaky ground to begin with.

Now if you chime in with the popular vote count, CA probably accounted for all of that and she didn't even have to campaign here. So let's do away with Hillary won the popular vote unless it's to irritate Trump.

This is exactly what I had hoped Trump's election would bring about.

And it's why I am glad Trump won.

It's what this country needs, and it certainly would have never happened under Hillary. At least with Trump at the helm we have a chance.

I know it's just in the talking stages now, but that gives me hope.

A new, liberal tea party is forming. Can it last without turning against Democrats?

They are still getting organized but they do know who their enemies are.

There have been some signs of liberal disgruntlement toward Democratic leaders. Pelosi and Schumer (D-N.Y.) were jeered by some in a crowd of more than 1,000 that showed up at the Supreme Court two weeks ago to protest Trump’s executive order travel ban. Marchers showed up outside Schumer’s home in Brooklyn, demanding he “filibuster everything” and complaining that he supported Trump’s Cabinet members involved in national security.

Just remember I will never support a party that you and Ice are members of. I like to win and I don't cheat.
