...it's pretty clear nothing is getting through to them. It's a real goddamn shame.

What worries me is the thought that it is getting through to 'them.' With the result being to foment and encourage militas, and spread the meme that the federal government is actually a deadly enemy conspiring to destroy 'real Americans,' etc. They may be 'preping' the option to take power by non-electoral means.

It's becoming obvious here in Cleveland, they wanted school reform in the city and had to turn to the GOP because the city Dem machine backed the NEA of course. But they care for the kids.

Will the minorities here now flock to the GOP en mass? No. But many won't forget, and statewide a few votes go a long way.

The teacher union bashing is not going anywhere because people with kids in school know that more often than not it is teachers buying the kids supplies out of their own pockets. To much of the taxes we pay for the schools go to needless administrators who sit around dreaming up dumbass zero tolerance rules.

I suppose that's a possibility. Reckon how many Americans are really as pissed off about Waco and Weavers as FOX tries to suggest, eh? I would hope it would be a significant minority.

But let's say full scale militia/wacky-prepper revolt breaks out and the government, fearing accusations from FOX of over-reaction, gets all complacent about it. That's when whatever social conscience I have remaining about what will become of this country goes south for good. That's when we take advantage of the blonde's dual citizenship and off we go to some quiet corner of the EU where the healthcare is great, the weather is great, the neighborhood is great, the food is great, and where, for the most part, anti-government headcases are looked upon as the miscreants they are.
