I think it's about an accurate portrayal of the GOP as one can find. A bunch of deluded clowns, pandering to people who think earthquakes are caused by anal sex and that the 1%ers actually give a damn about them. And then, of course there's the gullible rednecks who still believe it's about making welfare queens work, keeping Obama and the NBP from stuffing white folk into cattlecars, and, of course, protecting their imaginary right to shoot anyone who pisses them off.

Then we have the folk who insist that $250,000 per year isn't rich, but the minimum wage is a princley sum that is totally undeserved. "Anyone who thinks $250k per year is rich, should try living off of it......"----A line from the local "Letters to the Editor" I shall NEVER forget because it vividly illustrates just how absolutely disconnected from reality the American Right has become.
We all feel sorry for the poor little rich man....BOO-HOO.......

Republicans are the most heavily controlled and brainwashed lot on the planet. They are so deep into their religio-politcal horseshit that they have come to believe it's the rest of the world that doesn't get it. This is the nature of their insane NEED to feel "exceptional".

Well, come to think of it, they are exceptional---in the same way the kids who ride the short bus are "special".

I wish the all the Hispanics who are Catholic thought that way. They all sell out to get government benefits.

What about the substance of Finn's post.

It seems that, of all people, George Will thinks that the GOP field (except Romney and Huntsmann) are a bunch of clowns.

Will has become somewhat of a Maverick as of late.

He does indeed look like Barry.

How'd Obama manage to beat the much more capable Hilliary. Same thing. I think personal charisma has a lot to do with who does and doesn't garner support. It is not an intellectual exercise. Did the party elevate Bachmann and Trump? I thought they managed to toot their own respective horns. My point is that both parties have plenty of clowns. I just happen to prefer the GOP clowns more than the DEM clowns.

I'd argue that most of what was put forth could be interpreted in a better light. I still do not think that Cain didn't know that the Chinese had nuclear weapons. In fact, I'd say that would be a ludicrous conclusion given his Naval ballistic background. All speakers make errors including the left beloved Obama. Obama BTW makes some that I find far more in error than anything Bush said. Libya could have went either way and still is problematic; thus, I don't see Gingrich's statement in error. Bachmann can hold any opinion that she wants and I'd suggest that is a strong point of our system. That's about it for substance. The rest was just name calling and denigrating the GOP. I'm still amazed that anyone would even want the job. Perhaps, since we have so many examples on both sides of the aisle, politics may attract a certain kind of individual that is predisposed to be clown like.

I noticed that. I hear tell that he has challenged John McCain for the title of party maverick
