Obama flipflops again.
Military tribunals. Seems to me that a scant 2 or 3 years ago they were the greatest evil in the world.
4 legs good, 2 legs better?

Obama said he'd still rather have them tried in Federal Court. I think it's the orchestrated brouhaha/fearmongering surrounding bringing them to trial in the US that has him doing this.
BTW, I'll gladly match the flip-flops Obama has done when compared to the last GOP Presidential candidate. McCain's had more flip-flops than Mary Lou Retton.

Everybody "flip-flops" you, me, Obama----everyone changes their minds from time to time.
The opposite is called "dogmatism" a far worse trait than "flip-flopping", IMO.

Didn't Obama bring change?
Apparently so, but not as we thought
Where's the outrage?

I'm disappointed he didn't bring them to Federal court in the US, as opposed to the Kangaroo version in Gitmo. As for outrage, I'll leave that for the Right. They're better at it.

Now that Obama is Pres anyway.
Military tribunals aren't kangaroo courts. I'm ok with it, but the left was frothing over it.

While you may not think so, numerous military lawyers assigned to the prosecution of Gitmo inmates felt otherwise.
"(The) list of resignations from the Guantanamo military commission, including those of Stuart Couch, Morris Davis, Fred Borch, Major Robert Preston, Captain John Carr, USAF Captain Carrie Wolf, and Darrel Vandeveld. They were among the military lawyers tasked to serve as prosecutors of the suspected terrorists imprisoned at the American Guantanamo Bay detainment camp. The military lawyers requested transfers to other assignments because they had concerns that the proceedings would be innately unjust."

BTW, my father was a career JAG officer. He often discussed with me the pitfalls of American military justice. A close friend and associate of his retired from the military and started a pro bono practice to help GI's who had railroaded by the system (and he stayed plenty busy).

It's a different animal.
But, if true, then apparently Obama is prepared to sacrifice the rights of the inmates at the altar of re-election.
And the very same left that was shocked and horrified at Bush will justify their king.

I think that's a fair assessment. OTOH, the GOP doesn't seem to care a whit about their rights either.

So there's no difference between Obama and Bush?
