But the Republican's are the party of hate.

Go figger.

The Clinton administration did not venture that an invasion was necessary to deal with Saddam, and the Clinton administration tried to warn the Bush administration about Osama Bin Laden, who Obama is now after. It's one thing to suggest doing more, it's another thing to lie about the reason for invading a country.

Pretty clear there would be no need for a staging area in Iraq had the job in Afghanistan been completed in the first place.

I assume by stating the trampling of our civil rights you are referring to the Patriot Act. I also see that it was extended by the Obama Administration.

Don't forget the warrantless wiretaps.

I would also think that the high oil and gasoline prices had less to do with Bush's buddies than increased demand in India and China, also speculators moving into commodities.

And this also explains the record profits?

And a certain argument can be made that the "Sub Prime Crisis" was due to the repeal of the Glass Steagall Act during the Clinton Administration, combined with pressure from the Community Reinvestment Act to make sub prime loans, along with missteps by the Fed Reserve, among other things.

No problem with letting Clinton share some blame for the deregulation. Clinton was never much of a watchdog for Wall Street. Deregulation has been the Republican Mantra for decades, and even with the collapse they are fighting tougher bank regulation.

While a certain amount of credit for the financial collapse can be laid at the Republicans feet, the Democrats had a hand in this also. Probably the main reason that the house of cards fell in is that all of the smart money boys, the one's who help the Government, Treasury, and Federal Reserve set policy, got caught with their pants down.

Thank God they're still around to fix things.

Earlier I provided a citation to an article in the New Yorker quoting several economist who praise the administration's efforts to strengthen the capital of the banks.

In short, I think that you're being more than a bit unfair by placing the blame for everything that's gone wrong in the world on the Bush Administration.

Chas
I can appreciate your seeing my position as unfair, but neither you not I are neutral in our evaluation of this. However, I didn't blame him for everything that has gone wrong in the world. I did, however, identify the mess that Obama inherited. Because I have not seen any more specifics on the alleged failures, I must assume the claim that he has failed is based on his not yet completing the clean-up job.

Regards,

D-Ray

That thought had occured to me in the shower.
It could be that the song is a composite of her failed relationships.

Makes sense, anyhow.

Dave
