Former GOP official admits embezzelment
From todays NYT
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/04/us...OPOFF_BRF.html
Christopher J. Ward, National Republican Congressional Committee treasurer from 2003 to 2007, pleaded guilty Friday to embezzling more than $840,000 from several political committees, including more than $670,000 from the Congressional committee. Mr. Ward admitted that he had transferred money into his personal account from an account used to operate an annual fund-raising dinner with President George W. Bush. Prosecutors and Mr. Ward’s lawyer have agreed to recommend a sentence of three years in prison, though the judge can impose a term of up to 10 years.
Three years huh. Heck, does he have to pay it back. If not that is like a $260,000 a year sallary. Where do I sign up?

Yeah, so what? They all do it. He's a good Christian family man who favors lower taxes, so they should just laugh it off and let him go................
