I've been watching "Rectify'' on netflix.

It's both frustrating and mesmerizing.

Great acting and character development.

Really captures the modern day small town in the south experience.

Got a library card? It's where we go for all our home based movie viewing needs. And free is a lot cheaper than Netflix, or any of the rest of them. We're having to wait a while for Homeland Season 4...but it's also a lot cheaper than Showtime.

I used to go to the Library a lot before I got the internet at home.

But since then I almost never go.

I haven't even bothered to check into getting a card since I moved here.

You oughta try it. It gives me such a warm, cozy feeling every time I walk out with a half dozen movies and remember I'm not paying for Netflix, HBO, or Showtime anymore. And I get a little fresh air and exercise walking through the parking lot every time. Also there's this curvilicious 40-ish absolute dish that works the circulation desk and y'know...just cause I'm on a diet doesn't mean I can't look at the menu.

Felt like watching a couple of mindless "action" movies the other day so I netflix'ed Jason Statham's Redemption and then Snatch. Was entertaining.

Snatch is a favorite of mine. Brad Pitt is surprisingly good in it and Vinnie Jones is perfect.

Speaking of somewhat guilty pleasures...Jonathon Brandmeier interviewed Octavia Spencer the other day and when they went through some of her filmography, Buzz Kilman just went ape when Johnny B mentioned that Spencer was in "Drag Me To Hell."

It's on my list. Anybody seen this? It's supposed to be great.
