Oh come on Finn. Only two options? There are endless options. When can the banks buy them? Do they buy at auction? Who can bid, with what terms and conditions? Do the former owners retain any equity rights? If they are still living in the property, what defenses do they have against eviction? Might provisions in law be made regarding the transfer of ownership, to encourage continuity of occupancy at affordable rents?
I don't think anyone is talking about your "or they can't" option, of removing an option from the mix. We just want more options implemented.
