One big reason for the lack of an answer,
https://www.wired.com/2015/10/americ...ood-data-guns/

""In comparison, firearms killed 33,636 people. Yet no national databases exists for gun deaths. And that's a problem, because without even a statistical outline of the impact on life and limb that guns have, public health researchers can't begin to figure out deeper, more complex questions to ask.""

Just another adolescent argument put forth for another toy from the addicted to the ways of the gun.

Silencers would enable evasion of detection of criminal activity if generally available, there is no doubt their use would proliferate as to that purpose if legalized.

They're very quiet if you shoot a sub-sonic round (you don't get a crack as the bullet passes the sound barrier). For example, a .22 pistol shooting a subsonic round through a silencer is extremely quiet.

Whether taken exactly as written, or under "original intent", the second amendment is essentially null and void without the militia element that justifies it's existence. It's continuation the basis of unfounded unsupported assumptions and suppositions.

As much as I'd like a lawful right to armed self defense, I have to agree with this article on the problem with Scalia's decision on Heller.

It won't work for that, and the record is that right-wing authoritarians are the most-likely freedom takers.

From another Faux laureate, the always disgusting Laura Ingraham to Parkland school senior David Hogg.

Quote:
“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,” Ingraham tweeted Wednesday morning. She linked to a story from a conservative news site that described Hogg as a “Gun Rights Provocateur” who had not gained acceptance to four University of California schools.

“Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA … totally predictable given acceptance rates,” Ingraham added.
.
Here is his sisters response.

How low are your ratings @IngrahamAngle that you have to start attacking my brother’s grades to get attention? If you ask me, he is more articulate than you and has far better character. Man, that’s real low even for you. Coming from a 14 year old, please grow up. #NeverAgain https://twitter.com/ingrahamangle/st...21639458459648

Way to go, hit them where it hurts.

I just read on the internet that the news anchor has apologized to the student.
She should have known better in the first place.

Why should one think that Laura Ingraham would know anything?
