Looks like the Georgia Senate is ready to punish Delta by denying them tax breaks for fuel purchases. Delta earlier had decided to break ties with the NRA.

Here is a comment from Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle:

Quote:
“I’m tired of conservatives being kicked around on our values. It’s time we stand up and fight and show corporations that conservative values are important, not just to Georgia but to the entire nation,” he said. “We can fight for jobs, but we can also fight for values.”
So are the GOP'ers off the Family Values band wagon and now they are on Conservative Values? And does conservative values include the right to own assault weapons that are used to kill high school students?

How's the turkey hunting up in your holler? Out here in Lala Land, actually Lake Lopez, they keep the varmints well fed.

Good bass fishin', too, when we have water.
Ha! I'm having better luck filling the deer tags with my truck! Just barely missed one in the fog the other day.

On any given morning I may see as many as 15/20 turkeys in my yard. (I guess it doesn't hurt that they find a little corn sprinkled around.)

As far as no water, we have that problem too. Just a little different though. We've had plenty of rain but we have a leaky dam. Possibly fixed by the year 2022!

Some pics. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&....0.pdHOY4U9NXw

The water is about 35 feet low right now.

After reading some of the posts here, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of Wild Turkey being consumed while some of you are typing.

Gun-rights advocates in Congress dug in Tuesday on their demand to expand the ability of individuals to carry concealed weapons across state lines as part of any legislation responding to this month’s massacre at a Florida high school, casting doubt on whether lawmakers will be able to pass any measure on firearms.

The entrenched views of a bloc of GOP House lawmakers underscored the difficulty of finding consensus, even as President Donald Trump calls for new gun restrictions and the party’s leaders in the Senate seek to advance a narrow proposal bolstering background checks of gun purchasers that has bipartisan support.

“That’s dead on arrival,” Representative Joe Barton, a Texas Republican, said of the stand-alone proposal on background checks. The House approved the measure last year but paired with a requirement permits to carry a concealed firearm be recognized across state line. “We had a promise from leadership that we’d bring both up again, together.”
