here on the west coast of Florida (Sarasota county) people are panic stricken, no water in the three stores I checked. run on gas, again I hit three station before following a tanker to a station in order to gas up. me I am gonna wait till Thursday or Friday to start panicking. then I will pick up a few gallons of water and a jar of peanut butter. have not decided on the hurricane shutters yet...

Not at all. I just find it a bit disturbing that a forum member would root for a hurricane to kill someone. But hey, I guess you don't find it troubling at all, so its all good, right?

With any luck and God willing it will stay well south of you. Looks like the core is tracking toward the Keys, but I suspect that even if it does Sarasota county would still get some pretty nasty weather.

Quite frankly yes. Never met a person that could support Limbaugh or Hannity, yet I live in one of the most Republican towns in the Bay Area. A lot of Fox News aficionado's though.

Still remember the dirty looks we got when my wife let some Democratic politician stick a campaign sign on our front yard after we moved in (2002).
We were considered scandalous neighbors for a while.
