I have a relative who's a State Trooper and is working this.
They've been ordered not to respond to theft, only threat of injury, and the looting is out of control. Major box stores being cleaned out miles from the incident, in neighboring communities.
Also threats to retaliate by killing a LEO's child. I have family members in that category less than 2 miles from current rioting.

I never understood what all the looting is supposed to solve. Idiots.

I also don't understand why LEOs would be ordered to NOT respond to theft. WTF?

Too much mob, not enough LEO. Attempts to arrest looters would just lead to more shootings.

So, they just let it run it's course? When they're overwhelmed, I guess there is little choice. But still.

I'm also surprised that there are no shop owners hanging out front with their guns. So much for badass wingnuts standing their ground, eh?
