I don't see that it's illegal for people to fantasize of being whatever they want to be. After all, this is America. If pretending you're something you're not makes you happy.....................

What amazes me is that she pulled off being "black" for so long.

I wonder how this could tie into reincarnation? Maybe transgendered people really were the other sex in a past life and the same goes for transracial people?

The funniest thing about this is that some years ago an informal study was done out at come California university. Their conclusion was that if you take six rich white boys from Marin County, stick them in a room with six black boys from Compton...after three weeks all the white boys come out talking like, "Yo dogg! Once upon a time, a suntan was an indication that a person did manual labor out of doors so people who wanted to appear to be from the wealthier more privileged levels of society generally favored pale skin. Now a tan is an indication of limitless access to leisure and the means to travel to sunny vacation spas.

Black Like Me was a well known book in the '60's with that premise (though it was for far longer than a day).
