Ike, blowing one's own horn all the time is often over-compensation for low self-esteem. Constant avoidance of the first person pronoun isn't "stylistic". It's symptomatic of a subconscious desire for self-negation, the abolition of self.

These two phenomena are often intertwined and Zeke almost constantly exhibits both, along with expressions of contempt and dismissal for other human beings. He's a very troubled man. For the sake of himself and for those around him, I hope he gets some help with this and fast.

Hmmm... Facts are facts: I was once a journalism major.

What grade did you get?

Must we whip out academic phallus? I'm not terribly inclined.

The question was asked, I offered three potential answers. You can always just choose another...

I'm a diagnostician, not a therapist.

Then you're not a very good diagnostician.

I do appreciate the Trek.

The Republican noise makers have been angry ever since it looks like Di Blasio would be elected. They wanted some one with strict conservative credentials or at least someone who could be molded easily.

The noise makers are in a constant anti Di Blasio campaign.

What is the Mayor's crime this time? He told his biracial son to be careful when dealing with the police. I interpret this to mean...do not mouth off, be respectful. This advice goes for everyone, but especially people of color.

Lynch, who is head of the police union and is a republican organ, blew up the Mayor's advice into...He threw us under the bus and we are not going welcome him at any of our wakes. This was said some days before the two policemen were killed. (giving conspiracy nutcase a field day).

Rock solid assessment, agreement abounds.

Lynch is politically exploiting a variety of things in a manner which undermines any point he is trying to make.

the New York Post said new weekly crime statistics from the police department were evidence that police had begun an undeclared "virtual work stoppage" in protest

The number of court summonses issued for minor crimes dropped 94 percent to 300 last week, from 4,831 over the same week in 2013.

I have totally had it with these bums.

It's going to be martial law in New York.

I'm sure lots of people on this forum have advanced university degrees, Zeke. For some reason you seem to be the only one who needs to be dislocating his shoulder, while patting himself on the back in public for that (and a plethora of other alleged accomplishments), quite so often.

And please...don't feel the need now to put up a bunch of self-congratulatory posts by other members, eh? As I said, "...quite so often."
