My heart skipped a beat.............

This may not be of great national importance, but something cool happened to me today.

I was out cycling in Virginia Beach today, thinking about life and the way mine has been going. I'm looking at 50 and there has only been a couple women I've dated that I ever really felt serious about. One of them went lesbian on me and that was the last I heard from her....so that's right out. Apparently I had the wrong equipment.

That leaves Monica. I dated Monica for about a year, nearly twenty years ago. Just a few dates, a couple concerts, dinner-n-drinks and what-not. Then for a reason I'll not yet discuss, she decided to date some other dude and we parted ways-----on friendly terms.

Anyhow, as I was cruising along Monica popped into my head. It was really strange, because I just had this powerful notion to check FaceBook and see if she had a page. So, after I get home, shower up and have some dinner, I crank up the laptop, type in her name and.......there she is. And, just as beautiful as ever, despite the passing of almost two decades. I sent a friend request and it was approved in minutes. We had a very pleasant conversation and she asked me if I was still single.............

But here's the kicker; She had just opened the account.....on her lunch break this afternoon. About the same time I was cruising along on my bike thinking about her.

Synchronicity? "God" pulling strings in the background?

Well, we agreed to talk some more and meet next weekend. So, we shall see.

I can see it now. You'll talk again. You'll agree to meet at a local coffee shop on a cool late fall Saturday afternoon. Then Saturday comes, you'll go into the coffee shop. And there she'll be, looking radiant with a flower in her hair....and a Romney 2012 tee shirt!
