The Bagger insurrection heats up. Chaffetz throws his bib in the ring against McCarthy for Speaker. I hope Gomert gets in.

How many times have you heard;
"The worst Republican is better than the best Democrat."?
They view him favorably because he wasn't Al Gore or John Kerry. There are people around us who actually believe that America is still way to far to the left. The 29% who view him unfavorably probably think he didn't do enough damage............

I think the Iraq invasion was probably the dumbest thing in my lifetime.
But, blaming the housing bubble and bubble burst on Bush is absurd.

House prices peaked in 2006 and then the bubble burst. Whose watch was it?
Remember ISIL is Obama's fault since it was formed during his watch.
And speaking of Iraq invasion, how did we pay for it since it was mostly kept off the books. IIRC, the Iraqi oil was supposed to pay for it after we swept the rose petals off the streets of Baghdad.

Yet, the GOP defense policy that led to it (NeoConservatism) is alive and well.

That it was. And trying to turn Iraq and Afghanistan into a Jeffersonian Democracies was the second dumbest. Promising to pay for it all with Iraqi oil was the third dumbest, IMO...........
I still think the Iraq invasion was little more than a personal vendetta. We should have learned from the Russians what a quagmire trying to wage war in Afghanistan is. And getting people to hand over oil revenues after you've wrecked their country just seems like a fools errand to me.
Maybe I'm crazy, but....................
