Democrats - party of the status quo? But how long can the status quo last before we go broke?

I fear Romney and Ryan much more than the debt clock, which by the way a big chunk belongs to Bush. I do not understand you Pete....you did not seem to be upset about all the money wasted in the Middle East wars...which Ryan voted for. I guess you were happy Bush sent you that nice little government check back in 2003 or so...when he blew a mile wide hole in the deficit. Why is it so bad when Obama does it?

The debt clock should chill to the bone, far more important than one man or party.

I don't consider the money spent in the ME as wasted, but an investment. And Obama makes Bush look like a paragon of thrift.

If the GOP loses, they will likely say it was because Romney wasn't conservative enough (even though he will have lost to someone more liberal than himself ). In truth, Romney will likely lose not because he would make a bad President, but because he's a dreadful candidate.

The circular firing squad will be highly entertaining though. I can't see the moderate wing of the party winning the post-mortem debate because there really isn't one anymore.

As the old song says, it is a little too little, a little too late....he should have been saying this back in January during the primaries...

I got too dizzy from by the time Bush left office Pete.
The fact that we avoided second full scale depression means much more to me. Doesn't seem mean anything at all to you Republicans though.

Not at all. We are the epitome of all evil and greed.

Just vote the Democratic ticket and that stench washes right off, Pete.

Funny how our neighbours to the north can afford universal heathcare and Old Age Pensions for all yet we, allegedly the richest country in the world with the best system extant, can't quite seem to manage it. Are we just stupid or what?
