Well, considering the integrated nature of the Enterprise crews, (not only by race, but by planet of origin) and the fact that the Federation took care of the people's basic needs, they would likely vote for the Socialist party if it had a candidate running.

I've decided to start my own party.
The Contrarian Party.
Whatever the majority of Americans seem to support, I shall oppose.
And vice versa.
