The thing about American corporations is that they won't train people, they want the taxpayer's schools to do it and that is not what public schools are for.

Bell Canada gave me all the training I could ask for and as a result got a more valuable employee. It got to the point I was training other employees. But we never went around whining like HR people here saying they can't find skilled workers.

When I was promoted two steps up I regarded my position as being the development of my staff, that is anathema here.
