Donny tweeting idiocy about “fake news” this morning. He’s lying, as usual, about his meeting with the NYT publisher. They have published detailed notes of the meeting, which, of course, show Donny to be lying.

Whell, our resident fool, representing all Trumpkin fools, no doubt believes Donny’s fake account.

The publisher of the New York Times said on Sunday that President Trump expressed pride for popularizing the phrase "fake news" during a discussion about media coverage of the administration.

A. G. Sulzberger told the Times that Trump during a private meeting earlier this month stood by his use of the phrase "fake news," which he often applies to mainstream media outlets such as CNN, The Washington Post and the Times.

Trump also reportedly bragged that other countries had begun banning "fake news" as a result of his example. Sulzberger said he replied that those countries are dictatorships.

Sulzberger also told the Times that Trump was surprised that newsrooms are increasingly hiring armed guards to protect their newsrooms in light of violent threats against journalists.

"He comes down for the day, and whatever he saw on 'Fox and Friends,' he schedules meetings based on that,” said one former White House official. “If it’s Iran, it’s ‘Get John Bolton down here!’ … If he’s seen something on TV or [was] talking to Hannity the night before, he’s got lots of flexibility to do whatever he wants to do.”

Trump Has Repeatedly Tried to Ban or Punish Reporters Who Annoy Him

And our village idiot is just fine with it. Sad!

Trump’s capacity to create alternative and polarizing realities, to divert attention from his failures and scandals, to inflame his opponents, and to foment a general atmosphere of culture war and mutual recrimination is perhaps his greatest political talent.

Facebook and YouTube finally get some balls, taking action against Alex Jones and his InfoWars nonsense conspiracy site, source of “news” for so many rabid Trumpkins. Spotify users upset that the idiot is still on that platform.

^^ As usual in the good old US of A, money talks. 20% loss in equity coupled with shareholder lawsuits has spoken loud and clear. Alex Jones who?

I thought Spotify was just a music streaming service, guess I was wrong, they do more than purvey lossy music. I did sign up with them once a long time ago, but found the 320K files less than satisfying. Cheaper to buy used than to subscribe to any of these services IMO.

Infowars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones ramped up threats against special counsel Robert Mueller on Monday, calling him a "monster" and described shooting the former FBI Director.

Jones' nearly 3-hour July 23 InfoWars broadcast ranged from rants about Hollywood pedophilia to social media "shadow bans" to outlandish allegations Mueller was personally involved in a child sex ring composed of left-leaning political figures.

The InfoWars host went on to illustrate a "real world" threat against the former Marine Corps officer and Vietnam War veteran currently in charge of the Russian interference investigation of the 2016 presidential election.

Jones took on a particularly insidious tone during his Monday show, accusing Mueller of violent child sex acts before dramatizing a hypothetical "wild west" shootout with Mueller, a Republican appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to lead the Russia investigation in May 2017...

"It's not a joke. It's not a game. It's the real world. Politically. You're going to get it, or I'm going to die trying, bitch. Get ready. We're going to bang heads," Jones continued, pretending to fire a gun at Mueller.

And Alex Jones is a guy whose reputation Trump calls "amazing."
