That's the part that I have as yet to figure out.

I guess what I'm saying is that many of the regulations are written in a way to give the corporate giants, who own the politicians, a leg up on their competition...especially the little guy.

Whether or not it's true, I've read where Monsanto's hybrids have gotten into a farmer's adjacent field, and they have been sued by Monsanto for the illegal use of their products.

The way I look at things, we don't need more regulations, we need the RIGHT regulations.

I also have a problem with the way the government creates a program by which they give it a name, but actually it winds up being the opposite of it's moniker.

PPACA is a prime example. It doesn't really protect anyone, and it's affordability is a topic for discussion.

Now I realize that PPACA is viewed favorably amongst many here, at least as the means to an end, so allow me to mention another example...The Patriot Act.

IMHO, the ultimate example of Orwellian doublespeak. Sounded good, but it has basically destroyed not only our Constitutional Rights, but our natural rights as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the only person who had the guts to vote against it was that crazy assed Ron Paul.

I've shown my cards, feel free to trump me, as I've been known to be wrong.

Sounds like a pretty reasonable take to me.......So long as you realize it isn't all part of some Obama led conspiracy to destroy America. That's what makes me nuts.

As Mr. Dobbs once said; "Two wings of the same bird."

As for PPACA; I never call a race before the horses leave the gate. I have but a vague idea whether it will turn out good, bad,or indifferent. All I know is the horse we've been riding is a horrendously expensive nag. A pretty nag, but a nag nonetheless. I also have the feeling that no matter what we do, especially if we do nothing at all, will only result in the lightening of my wallet anyways. So, I'm limited to worrying about losing coverage altogether. Which would really suck, especially now that I'm getting old.

Is it not amazing that we have more horse's arses than we have horses?

I'm not kneejerk against genetic modding. In Europe there are still those that think fluoride in the water is an evil plot.

Plant "development" has been done since the time of Malthus, it is just that the men and women who did that work were not assholes like Monsanto.

LOL! It sounds like satire!

Rob I agree about the big agribusiness but it seems that's the model we're stuck with.

We are stuck with it only because Monsanto and their ilk have bought the government and the courts.
