Is Trump trying to pull off Universal Healthcare?

I still don't trust this guy, don't get me wrong. But, this could be an interesting turn of events if there is any truth to it;

It would be nice to realize that he has duped the right people and Trojan Horsed the Republican Party. I still have my reservations, because otherwise he is still the consummate Capitalist.

We shall see.

Trump knows he's on shaky ground and is looking for a programmatic way to 'seal the deal' with the American people. One danger is show without substance. Another is truly unsustainable deficits, that will dwarf Obama's.

I do not trust this man an inch.

I'll believe it when I see it. However, for him to claim that “It’s very much formulated down to the final strokes" beggars the imagination. According to him, it's going to cover everybody, be better, have lower premiums and lower deductibles - an impossibility (unless everybody in the country, out of deference to Trump, decides never to get sick).

IMO, he doesn't have squat. He's just laying out a marker for McConnell and Ryan to be careful in the way they slice and dice Obamacare so he can blame them if they don't achieve the impossible and/or piss off his gullible base.

This should be fun to watch. Here's a bit more on his (nonexistent) plan:

Remember Trump believed Obama was born in Africa...so anything he says has to be seen in the light of an angry old white dude who despite his millions feels slighted by real billionaires.

Meanwhile back in the states that voted for Trump....

Single Payer is an impossible goal since that would eliminate the insurance companies who are on the gravy train. Any new healthcare law will once again be written by the lobbyists and will pretty much look the same. Just be given a new name, Trumpcare and then he will claim that it is the best healthcare.

I still wouldn't bet any of my money that he was born in America.

But, I have never understood what difference it makes since his mother was a U.S. citizen and he would have been regardless.

It was an effort to delegitimize Obama in the eyes of the ill-informed in the GOP base.

Exactly. That was the most ridiculous part of it. Even if the birthers were right it wouldn't have mattered. The whole thing just showed how ignorant they are.

Newt called his father an "Anti-Colonial"............ So? Adams and Jefferson were Anti-Colonials. Washington was an Anti-Colonial. Stupid.

Sure it will happen, YEP!

As soon as Trump and the GOP figure a way to Privatize SS along with other social programs plus have Single Payer at the same time!
