I thought that Republicans only accounted for app 1/3 of likely voters.

Ain't that a fact.

Besides, the two parties aren't about to run anyone who isn't already bought and paid for.

Those of you who outside in rural areas or small cities may not realize how big a deal of a deal traffic is. For example, transportation & traffic is certainly a top 2 or 3 issues in the state of Virginia, for example. People don't take too kindly to being stuck in traffic for a couple hours for a political retribution stunt.

It'll be interesting to see how Christie handles this. Of course, he denies any knowledge. However, just last week, he adamantly denied any involvement by him or any of his top staff.

I can see where he didn't make any friends. And considering that the nation is basically split between rural/semi rural areas and the large metropolition areas, this may be enough to bury him.

But when the next election rolls around, who are you going to vote for...Superman?

Personally, I don't think Christie has what it takes to get elected POTUS. Or even rise to the top of the national ticket.

Shooting from the hip, especially considering the range, I'd call it Hillary vs Rand Paul. And I wouldn't be surprised to be wrong on both counts.

The Donks love Hillery, and she should draw a lot of support from the changing demographics. On the other hand, Paul is a weasel too, and he is capable of reinventing himself and drawing the young and more libertarian voters to his side.

Bottom line is, whoever takes the cake is going to have to position themselves as an agent of change.

Much like Obama did, even more so this time.

Rand Paul is not Presidential calibre. He has also came out early in support of Snowden...big mistake with me. Plus he seems to swing with both the TP and the Libertarians.

If he came out for single payer and a decrease in defense spending he might be able to carve out a coalition of younger voters. However his earlier sort of dismissal of the the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is sort of scary to many, including me.

I do not think Walker or Kasich would do well against Hillary considering their stands on women's health issues.

Hillary with a Latino running mate could make really big inroads. And if the economy is going well the Dems could just clean up on all the margins that the GOP is pissing off.

The Immigration Reform bill right now is a no brainer Boehner is either a fool for not bringing it to the floor. Or only concerned about the individual house seats...which means the GOP has given up on 2016.

Rand Paul!?

I am speechless to think that low lives like he and that little guy who ran for VP last time around, Ryan, for the GOP are thought of as a potential president!

Well, I guess after Palin anything is possible.

The GOP is just plain sad.
