Things we learned about Chris Christie during his 108-minute apologia:
Im a very loyal guy.
I am not a focus-group-tested, blow-dried candidate.
Ive worked for the last 12 years in public life developing a reputation for honesty.
Ive engendered the sense and feeling among the people closest to me that were a family.
Im a person who cares deeply about doing my job well.
Im incredibly loyal to my people.
I was the class president and athlete.
And this was all in the process of saying what he had done wrong in the George Washington Bridge fiasco that threatens to upend his presidential hopes. Christie apologized profusely but not for anything he did. Im telling you: I had nothing to do with this, he pleaded. Instead, he blamed bad people who lied to him, taking advantage of his trusting and honorable nature.
Even in disgrace, the New Jersey governor and the nominal front-runner for the 2016 GOP nomination managed to turn his nationally televised news conference into a forum on the virtues of his favorite subject: himself.
Use of the word I: 692 times.
Im: 119.
Ive: 67.
Me: 83.
My/myself: 134.

Gooliani's total spin on ABC This Week this morning was rather humorous. I think he believes Chrusti Chreme should receive the Presidential Medal Of Freedom.

I think his 2016 ambitions have hit a traffic jam.

Even so, this guy is still the front runner according to this from WaPo.

Loved this reader comment: Huckabee's still waiting for word from God while Santorum on the other hand thinks he is God.

From the comment section of an article:
Re possible political ads:
The ads practically write themselves. Just imagine a Christie lookalike coming
on camera and saying, with a heavy NJ/mobster accent, "Nice little town you
have here. Hate to see sumptin BAD happen to it".

As Jon Stewart noted, the Jersey state flag has a severed horses head on it.

"Ya know, traffic jams at rush ow-wah can be a real bitch. Old ladies die-n-shit like dat. Now, yuz doan wanna see dat happen now do yuz?"
I remember the old days in Youngstown, when the Mafia would "sell" "protection" to local business owners. Unprotected businesses would get robbed a lot and sometimes mysteriously burst into flames.
