I disagree on the birthers and the tea party folks.
The birthers, right or wrong, don't think that Obama has furnished the proper birth certificate. Who knows, but to the best of my understanding, he hasn't been forthcoming with records from his past.
No one wants to touch this one with a ten foot pole. Can you imagine the shit storm if it was proven that Obama wasn't eligible to be POTUS?
The Tea Party folks feel that a lot of Obama's policies don't pass constitutional muster. But the constitution has been "That GD piece of paper" every since the Whiskey Rebellion, IMHO. Johnny come lately's , but maybe better than Johnny's that never show.
And I'll take a Ron Paul any day...only he doesn't inspire the "fire in the belly".
If Palin were to step to one side and deliver the faithful to a Ron Paul type, well, I think that would be a positive thing.
I'm all in favor of "change you can believe in", I just ain't seen it yet.
