After the Cypriot government attempted to seize a portion of depositors money across the board, there was an heightened interest in Bitcoins.

I don't understand the difference between BitCoins and the myriad of other virtual currencies such as Facebook credits and the like. I sure would not accept any of them in exchange for even a face cord of firewood.
