That "character" was Arlo Guthrie, if memory serves, who lead the other inmates in jumping up and down and yelling "Kill!". Did you know that Guthrie endorsed Ron Paul in 2008 for Prez?

I can speculate why Arlo would endorse a libertarian . . .

Considering another thread started today, Ron Paul and Pat Robertson have something in common.

Saw Arlo Guthrie in concert at "The Acoustically Perfect Chrysler Hall" over in Norfolk about fifteen years ago. Fantastic concert!

I saw Arlo 35 years ago in an acoustically imperfect basketball arena. It was a good show back then too. I remember him singing "Coming in from Los Angeles; Bringing home a couple of KIs." I don't see why he had to go to all that trouble, when you can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant - excepting Alice.
Regards,
D-Ray

That's how they advertise the venue around here. It's been the same catch phrase for many years. I love that place. I've been to dozens of concerts there. Arlo Guthrie and Santana were the best of them all, though. Besides the Virginia Symphony, of course.
