Hardly. I believe I read that 7 incoming weapons made it to Israel out of the 330 fired off and that there was one significant injury among the Israeli population (one injury for 330 inbound weapons is remarkably effective). I think fighter aircraft were used for the drones because they were easy picking for jets (and ballistic missiles are not) and the drones could be shot down before they reached Israeli airspace, thereby reducing the risk from flying junk raining down.
My son lived in Tel Aviv for 6 years on 2 different assignments with the State Dept. A few years back when shitloads of missiles were flying out of Gaza, people were initially somewhat frightened and immediately went inside when when alarms went off. After the efficiency of the Iron Dome was demonstrated, people instead went outside to watch the fireworks. He used to FaceTime us from his balcony in downtown Tel Aviv during rocket attacks and we weren't the least bit concerned.
