Was there voter fraud in 2020? No, but the GQP is determined to find it and for reasons known, Maricopa County in Arizona is their prefect site. So now we are to have yet another recount backed and paid for by the GQP.

An extensive effort to recount ballots from the November election moved forward in Phoenix on Friday as a private vendor hired by Republicans in the Arizona Senate began reviewing nearly 2.1 million ballots cast in the state’s largest county.

The recount of the ballots from Maricopa County was sought by Senate Republicans to examine unsubstantiated claims that fraud or errors tainted President Biden’s win.

And the plot thickens.

GOP senators have handed over management and funding of the quasi-public process to a private cybersecurity firm from Florida called Cyber Ninjas, whose chief executive has echoed false claims about fraud in the election.

And allies of Trump have not been shy about their hope that the audit will turn up new ammunition they can use to attack the results of last fall’s vote.

And we will have live cameras provided by none other than OAN, the purveyors of truth a we make it up, and

OAN host Christina Bobb, a lawyer who volunteered on behalf of Trump’s election challenges last year, has been raising money through Twitter to support the audit.

And most of all,

The Cyber Ninjas chief executive has ties to several figures who played leading roles in attempting to subvert the 2020 election results.

And finally for full disclosure,

On Wednesday, former White House adviser Stephen K. Bannon interviewed on his podcast a Republican member of the Arizona legislature, who gave Bannon and his viewers a tour of the facility where ballots would be counted.

“Everyone should understand, we’re at the top of the first inning on this,” Bannon said. “We can’t go forward until we find out what happened on Nov. 3.”

There you have it folks. There was no fraud, but we are going to find it even if we have to make it up. In the end this is just a charade and justification for the upcoming voter suppression laws the GQP is planning. Amazingly these wingnuts are being so open about it. If you want to cook something up, wouldn't you do it quietly and out of sight?

They will do the cooking out of sight. The recount is just a way to pretend they are 'finding' evidence.

Let's assume for the moment that they 'find' the evidence they want to find. This would have no bearing at all on the official election results, correct? The only purpose, then is to give right right media the 'proof' that they've been looking for, but that the organizations that have done this kind of thing since like forever could not produce.

If the idea is to further rile the rabble, it will probably work.

I predict they will find evidence of massive fraud, because why go to all that bother if you don't get the results you want?

The rabble has already been riled up. This is justification for ongoing voter suppression since the GQP did not anticipate corporate 'democracy' awakening. I am certain that they will find a way to invalidate thousands votes and then claim election fraud.

The line will be "See we told you so. If we found this here there must be more. Since there is more the whole election was fraudulent". All the other Repubs that won their elections? No fraud there, nope none at all. BTB, this all ties in nicely with the Repub efforts at "election security".
