Is Kevin OK?

Hoping the election of McCathy as speaker by the 118th Congress which convenes on January 3, 2023 will be entertaining.

Actually fun has already begun with the Freedumb caucus flexing their muscles saying NFW to Kev and in response the moderate Republicans came up with a button that says OK to signify "Only Kevin". Problem is no one is wearing these buttons because, well Kevin is just OK means he is not good enough.

Bound to be quite distracting if the election of the speaker is just as chaotic as the 45th presidency and the Dems can stir up the pot by nominating Rudy ( ). Apparently anyone can be elected as Speaker of the House and for a while even Trump was being considered until McCarthy signaled his displeasure. ( ).

Quote:
A group of House Republican moderates (yes, a few specimens still survive in the wild) met with Kevin McCarthy this week to help him right his listing bid for the speakership. In a show of support, they passed out pro-McCarthy lapel buttons: stars on a field of blue with a red band in the middle that proclaimed, simply, “O.K.”

The “O.K.” buttons may have been the biggest messaging misfire since McCarthy, called a “moron” by Speaker Nancy Pelosi over his resistance to pandemic safety measures, removed all doubt about the charge by selling T-shirts with large letters proudly announcing: “Moron.”
This is a very good and light hearted opinion piece but may still be pay walled. The good news for the Dems is that the GOP pitbulls while chomping at the bits to shred Hunter and impeach Mayorkas will be busy with their own cage fight with Kevin.

“While Republicans have so far stalled on crime, the economy and the border, they are moving ahead rapidly with more pressing matters — such as Hunter Biden’s artwork.”

Benghazi was an anomaly and history is not going to repeat itself. So the Hunter Biden sham investigation will go nowhere like the Freedumb National Sales Tax.

I hope it goes on long enough for the Democrats to use the grand waste of time against the Republicans come the 2024 campaign season with mister "No Jacket Required" Gym Jordan getting hammered the hardest.
