About 20% of Trump supporters admit racist attitudes to pollsters? Who want to guess what the actual number is?

Spicey finally gets an audience with the Pope. I felt so sorry for him when the idiot in chief excluded him from the official visit. Awwwww. Heartwarming!

A university professor suggested Harvey was karma for Texas Republicans. Then, he was fired.

Kenneth L. Storey, a sociology professor, was immediately slammed on social media after he tweeted this Sunday: “I dont believe in instant Karma but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesnt care about them.” Two days later, he was out of a job.
Karma is a bitch. I find it hard to empathize with the state of Texas andthe city of Houston for having had a hand in this catastrophe by messing with their wetlands (bayou).

You find it hard to empathize with people being flooded out of their homes?

No, he found it hard to empathize with a state and an city. But neither of those things are people, so empathy is sort of difficult for anyone, I would think.

Actually, Rajoo and Professor Storey have the same problem--applying political judgement to a disaster, as if political entities were experiencing it. It's people that are experiencing the disaster.

Sorry no, my comment was not political, rather technical/scientific. I had read this article earlier in the day and felt that the city and the state had to bear some responsibility, not for the hurricane but the aftermath. Flooding and the after effects were predictable.

Houston was a ticking time-bomb for a devastating hurricane like Harvey

And I have as empathy for Texans that Cornyn and Cruz had for victims of Sandy.

The state and the city are in reality people.
