Border Patrol union calls Trump's National Guard deployment 'colossal waste'

Of course it is! Just another example of Donny playing to his base at taxpayer expense.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-...018-story.html

A month after President Trump called for sending National Guard troops to the U.S.-Mexico border, the head of the national Border Patrol union called the deployment "a colossal waste of resources."

"We have seen no benefit," said Brandon Judd, president of the union that represents 15,000 agents, the National Border Patrol Council.

Trump’s Reckoning Arrives

The president’s unpredictability once worked to his advantage—but now, it is producing a mounting list of foreign-policy failures.

https://www.theatlantic.com/internat...rrives/561209/

Thing is, what will the moron do when things really fall apart? Scary. A great read in The Atlantic.

Quote:
All this is only the beginning. Deficits are rising fast. Military commitments are rising fast. America’s friends are turning their backs fast. (Only 17 percent of South Koreans trust Trump to do the right thing, according to the Pew global surveyin 2017, well before the latest chaos. Obama’s trust rating in South Korea bounced between a low of 75 percent and a high of 88 percent over his presidency.) At a time of relatively low military casualties and strong job growth, the president’s popularity at home roughly matches that of George W. Bush’s during the worst months of the Iraq war, 2005–2006, and Barack Obama’s during the most disappointing months of the weak recovery from the recession of 2009. The president’s options are narrowing even before the midterm elections.

It can only get worse from here for him and—more importantly—for America’s standing in the world under his leadership.

It's not disgraceful enough that a draft dodger addresses the Naval Academy graduates, but then he flat out lies to their faces.

Quote:
And, by the way — I know you don’t care about this — but that also includes raises for our military. First time in 10 years."

That’s flat wrong. In fact, the last time that service members didn’t receive an annual pay increase was in 1983.

President Trump made six false statements in the span of two minutes during his commencement speech at the Naval Academy on Friday, according to defense expert Todd Harrison.

Cadet BoneSpur probably thought he inspired these fine young men and women.

The Trump era is a renaissance of half-witted intolerance

We certainly have our own resident half-wit Trumpie here...

President Donald Trump slammed the New York Times Saturday for using “phony sources” in a story citing a White House official – but the comments the paper referred to came from a formal background briefing attended by multiple news organizations and widely reported...

“I mean, every reporter on the call knows who this official was, and this official exists,” Mike Warren, a senior writer for the conservative Weekly Standard wrote on Twitter. “And we all heard the official say it.”

The Dotard tweeted: The Failing @nytimes quotes “a senior White House official,” who doesn’t exist, as saying “even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.” WRONG AGAIN! Use real people, not phony sources.

Mr. Fake News himself denies what his own staff said in a formal briefing to a gaggle of reporters. Maybe David Dennison hacked his Twitter account.

Trump's cries of 'phony' are always phony, and it doesn't matter how phony. The people meant to believe it won't care who give what briefing, they will just believe it.

Retired English teacher schools Trump by editing letter from White House

Donny isn't just disgusting, he’s also semi-literate.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/n...om-white-house

"I have never, ever, received a letter with this many silly mistakes," Mason told Greenville News. She said she opted not to provide the White House a grade, but told the news outlet, "If it had been written in middle school, I'd give it a C or C-plus [and] If it had been written in high school, I'd give it a D."

By comparison, the woman said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., "writes exquisite letters."

The classless Dotard makes Memorial Day about himself by tweeting:

"Those who died for our great country would be very happy and proud at how well our country is doing today. Best economy in decades, lowest unemployment numbers for Blacks and Hispanics EVER (& women in 18years), rebuilding our Military and so much more. Nice!"

Classless scum.
