Darkest Hour

Fictionalized somewhat, but Gary Oldman's performance is Oscar-worthy. A fascinating two hours. Trump would have melted under the pressure, without question.

Just saw that tonight also. A great film, superb work by the whole cast, complemented by bravura art and camera, and also a wonderful score.

My one criticism is the film got claustrophobic, spending I fear too much time in close shots and cramped interiors, particularly in the underground headquarters. Needed some relief from that.

We’ve been making a regular date with another couple, going to classic movies on the big screen (Fathom Events) on Sunday afternoons, followed by dining out. Fun.

Today it was The Treasure of The Sierra Madre, a great John Huston classic, starring his dad and Bogey.

Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinking badges!

Just saw it today. Folks were applauding at the end. Trump isnít the first asshole president who has no clue what the First Amendment means.

No doubt idiot Trumpies will be boycotting Tom Hanks now. Donny should be tied down and forced to watch it over and over, until he gets it; not that heís capable of understanding.

Been reviewing the French film, The Sorrow and the Pity from 1969.

Might just be relevant to current events.
