I didn't say "made" I said "implied".
I'll give you credit for being cagey enough to word it so you could cover your ass and have plausible deniability.

And I'll give you credit for extrapolating a guy's car troubles into a treatise on the evils of America.

Really? How'd you find that out?

Its a story about man's humanity to man. There's a 19 year old kid at the center of all this who should be celebrated, and and a human being who is overcoming obstacles who should earn our respect.
Instead, we have the usual suspects taking what should be a moment to celebrate and turning it into something it ain't for their own purposes.
Typical.

I heard a BBC report yesterday on the TV saying that he didn't solicit or want any help. In fact, his work colleagues say he had gotten used to his routine and seemed to enjoy it.
Also, when informed about a federal programme newly available through Detroit's bus system that might pick him up at home and drop him off at his job, Mr Robertson said he would rather have more people benefit.
"I'd rather they spent that money on a 24-hour bus system, not on some little bus for me," he told the Detroit Free Press.

The BBC TV news report may have taken a bit of artistic license with the fellow's graciousness and class, but not much.

"I don't think what I do is big deal," Robertson tells PEOPLE. "I do what I have to do to get to work in the morning. It's just a part of my life."
What it takes, he says, is determination and faith.
"My parents taught me hard work ethic growing up in Detroit," he says. "It's all about keeping your schedule on track and focusing your mind on what matters."

In Tom's world, this guy's screwed up. He's better get his mind right, and soon!

No One Should Have to Walk 21 Miles to Get to Work
http://billmoyers.com/2015/02/05/public-transportation/
Quote:
One thing is clear: A system that requires a dedicated employee to walk 21 miles a day to make $10.55 an hour is a failed system. As Robertson reminded the Free Press, “Even if my situation changes, you never forget there are so many other people that are in my situation.”
